What is Financial Modeling?
Financial modeling is a complicated profession which requires a good understanding of finance, accounting and business strategy to develop a forecasts of a company’s future performance and needs.
A modeler needs to understand the overall business model and translate it efficiently into an Excel spreadsheet that is user-friendly and intuitive.

The FMVA certification is issued by the Corporate Finance Institute. The holder has passed 18 courses on various financial modeling topics including corporate finance, business strategy and company valuation.
